The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival (Tết Trung Thu) is an annual traditional event that celebrates the lunar harvest. To celebrate this holiday, VAALA and Nguoi Viet Daily News host the Children’s Moon Festival every year for families to celebrate cultural traditions together while fostering creativity in the younger generation. The Children’s Moon Festival comprises of three events: an Art Contest, an Awards Ceremony, and an Art Exhibition.  As the main event of the Festival, the Art Contest encourages youth to explore their creativity in a socially stimulating environment. Each year, approximately 300 children ages 5 to 15 participate in the 2-hour art contest. Their artwork is judged by a panel that includes professional artists, educators, and community leaders. ALL THE EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
