As the first Vietnamese librarian in Minnesota, a respected storyteller, a 2016 & 2019 Minnesota State Fair Blue Ribbon author, and a published and award winning author, Trẩn Thị Minh Phước has shared her experiences and knowledge of Vietnamese culture at various cultural events, storytelling programs, conferences, libraries, universities, colleges, and schools throughout the state and beyond. In addition, she had dedicated her time to helping new immigrants transition into life in America. Her work has inspired others to also pursue their dreams and a good education.  Phuoc Tran and her husband Thinh Nguyen are the proud parents of their 4 children who grew up in a bilingual home.

Nguyễn Thị Hợp and Nguyễn Đồng began their careers as young professional artists in South Vietnam during the 1960s, exhibiting in Paris, Taiwan and in cities in Germany and the US as well as in Saigon. Since their marriage in 1968 they have collaborated on book and magazine covers, posters and illustrations for over one hundred titles for publishers around the world. Among their many titles are Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh’s Each Breath a Smile (Parallax Press 2001) and recently award-winning books: Trần Thị Minh Phước’s Vietnamese Children’s Favorite Stories and My First Book of Vietnamese Words, Tuttle Publishing 2015 and 2017.
