Huong Pham
Biography
Huong Pham (she/her; name pronunciation) is a child of refugees, born and raised in Los Angeles in the traditional lands of the Tongva peoples. She is currently the Associate Director of Major Giving at the International Rescue Committee and has nearly a decade of fundraising experience. Her work as a fundraiser has long been rooted in a deep dedication to community, and she views her work in philanthropy as an opportunity to transform archaic concepts of charity to instead, empowered and engaged solidarity. Outside of fundraising, Huong spends her time unearthing old family recipes and traditional Vietnamese cuisines, and is working to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming a polyglot (already fluent and literate in Vietnamese at a meager 8th grade level, she’s ambitiously working on French, Spanish, and Dari).
