Vietnamese American High School Alliance
Biography
The Vietnamese American High School Alliance (VAHSA) is a dynamic, student-led network of over 15 Vietnamese Student Associations (VSAs) across Los Angeles and Orange Counties. VAHSA is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders and change-makers by promoting cultural pride, community engagement, and political awareness. Through its network, students collaborate, build leadership skills, and form lasting connections across schools.
The organization hosts engaging programs such as college prep workshops, its annual Friendship Games, and the impactful Little Saigon Clean Up. These events create opportunities for students to celebrate Vietnamese identity while giving back to their communities. With support from advisors and alumni, VAHSA continues to grow as a space for mentorship and leadership development. Overall, VAHSA inspires students to take action, stay connected to their roots, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
We are excited to have five high schools from our alliance for this year’s Viet Book Fest Youth Dance Showcase: Santiago High School and Garden Grove High School from GGUSD , Loara High School and John F. Kennedy High School from AUHSD, and Troy High School from FJUHSD.
