Santa Ana, CA – February 1, 2024 – The Vietnamese American Arts and Letters Association (VAALA) is excited to announce the official dates and call for entries Viet Film Fest 2024. This year, the festival will take place virtually from October 5-20. Due to popular demand, in-person screenings will be extended to three days, scheduled for October 11-13 at The Frida Cinema in Downtown Santa Ana.
Since its inception, Viet Film Fest (VFF) has been a platform for emerging and established filmmakers to share their unique perspectives, stories, and artistry with a global audience. The 15th edition promises to continue this tradition by spotlighting the diverse narratives and rich cultural heritage of Vietnam and its diaspora.
“Viet Film Fest has always been a celebration of the diversity, depth, and uniqueness of Vietnamese storytelling,” says Eric Nong, Artistic Director of Viet Film Fest, “As we mark our 15th edition, we invite filmmakers to contribute their voices to VFF, the longtime exemplar of supporting and fostering Vietnamese perspectives in cinema.”

Viet Film Fest is looking for movies from filmmakers of Vietnamese descent and/or movies that speak to the Vietnamese experience for our 2024 film festival. Special discounted rates for students, with valid proof of ID.
